Antibody drug discovery comprises multiple critical stages including candidate antibody identification, hybridoma screening, antibody quantification, and characterization of Fc region properties and functions. KeyTec® TR-FRET offers a suite of assays for candidate antibody screening, antibody quantification and Fc receptor binding analysis, assisting researchers to establish a complete testing workflow from antibody discovery to functional characterization.(Learn About Our Featured Antibodies)
1 Hybridoma Screening: Rapid Identification of Candidate Antibodies
At the hybridoma antibody discovery stage, rapid screening of candidate antibodies capable of recognizing target antigens from numerous hybridoma culture supernatants is required. A variety of Hybridoma Screening Kits are available, covering antigen tag systems including His antigen, Human Fc antigen, Biotinylated antigen and FLAG antigen, and supporting antibody types such as Mouse IgG and Rat IgG.
Candidate antibody binding to target antigens is measured by TR-FRET, enabling rapid screening of hybridoma culture supernatants and providing candidate molecules for subsequent positive clone identification and antibody development.
2 Antibody Quantification: Analysis of Antibodies and Fc Fusion Proteins
Accurate antibody quantification is essential for sample concentration assessment and experimental consistency throughout antibody expression, purification and development workflows. Human IgG Detection Kit, Human Fc Detection Kit and Human Fc HiRange Detection Kit are provided for quantitative measurement of human IgG, Fc-related proteins and Fc fusion proteins.
Products with different detection ranges can be selected to build tailored quantitative assays according to sample concentrations and experimental requirements, delivering data support for antibody expression analysis, purification monitoring and subsequent functional characterization.
3 Fc Receptor Binding: Characterization of Antibody Fc Region Properties
Interactions between the antibody Fc region and receptors such as FcRn and FcγR are tightly linked to in vivo behavior and immune effector functions of antibodies. Multiple Fc receptor Binding Assays are offered to characterize antibody Fc regions at the molecular binding level.

Schematic illustration of antibody Fc domain interacting with Fc receptors, including FcRn and multiple FcγR subtypes. The binding affinity between Fc fragment and receptors can be quantitatively detected by plate-based bioassays, generating binding curves and characterization data for antibody functional evaluation.
Among them, the Human FcRn Binding Kit enables research on interactions between antibody Fc and FcRn. The Human CD16a (FcγRIIIa) 176V/176F Binding Kit supports FcγRIIIa binding studies and Fc functional assessment related to ADCC. The Human CD64 (FcγRI) Binding Kit is used for FcγRI binding assays and functional studies associated with ADCP.
4 From Candidate Antibody Screening to Fc Functional Characterization
Our portfolio integrates multiple testing workflows in antibody development. At the early discovery stage, Hybridoma Screening Kits are deployed to identify candidate antibodies. During expression and purification, IgG/Fc Detection Kits quantify antibodies or Fc fusion proteins. In later antibody characterization, FcRn, CD16a and CD64 Binding Assays analyze binding profiles between the Fc region and relevant receptors.
This product lineup covers key assay requirements spanning candidate antibody discovery → antibody quantification → Fc receptor binding → Fc function-related research, providing TR-FRET assay tools for antibody drug discovery and early-stage development.
